Upcoming Shows:
Following two sold-out Off-Broadway runs and selection as a New York Times critic's pick, Caitlin Cook's bathroom graffiti musical hits Seattle. Confessional, immersive, and uproariously funny, this one-of-a-kind show-literally set in a dive bar bathroom-transforms stall scribbles into the lyrics of Cook's original songs and trail markers along her journey.
"Inventive and hilarious" (David Cross). "Funny and fabulous" (Catherine Cohen). "If you aren't already worshipping her, start now" (Ilana Glazer). "Go see this show" (Michael Che). "The gold standard of musical comedy" (New York Times). "A gem of a show" ****1/2 (One4Review). "Delightfully irreverent, gleefully vulgar, slyly intellectual" (TheaterMania).
Thank you, Portland.
It is with gratitude and optimism that we want to announce that Rip City Comedy Fest will not be returning to Portland in 2025. As life has taken us in different directions and opened some wonderful opportunities to continue facilitating performance spaces on a larger scale; there is no capacity to provide adequate energy towards our initial venture.
Truly grateful to have experienced the authentic Portland comedy scene on a ground level, and for the support of touring comics/agents/venues/sponsors who helped introduce me to the inner workings of business. Simply put, I learned a lot personally and professionally, and I'm grateful to be able to apply these lessons to this new chapter of life.
That being said, our last Portland produced show will be at Mission Theater, Monday October 26th featuring Caitlin Cook's wonderful Writing on the Stalls graffiti musical. Limited tickets remain, and I hope to see you all there. Truly honored to end on this note, as I've been a fan of this show for quite some time. I couldn't think of a more fitting performance to close this chapter with.
Thank you for the memories, Portland. I look forward to seeing what you build from here!
